"Sweet Fuse: At Your Side", another otome game localization

A new otome game is getting localized by Aksys Games. They've picked up the title "Bakudan Handan" by Idea Factory and Otomate, and are calling it "Sweet Fuse: At Your Side" for the English release. This will be for the PSP/Vita console, so there will be a UMD and PSN version. It is scheduled for release some time over this summer 2013.

(As a personal comment, I just want to say that I am excited for a new otome game title being licensed. Hakuouki was fun, but I've been itching for other otome game titles to make it over here. It looks like Aksys Games is sticking with Idea Factory/Otomate for now, which is understandable. I'm hoping that in the future we may be able to get games localized from other companies as well. That still may be a ways off, but I can be content with this. Thanks Aksys Games~)

Still sorta side-eyeing Akysys after their last heel turn, but I am glad to see them pick up another 'real' otome title.

Not entirely surprised that they stuck with Otomate. But I am rather surprised that they decided to pick that Bakudan to go with next... Just because it seems like something of an unknown while there are more popular title available. (Unlike Hakuouki which had a weight of massive fandom everything behind it.)

Haven't actually played it though so *shrugs* maybe it's wonderful and I'm just not aware of what I'm missing yet.

I understand how you feel, however for me personally, I'll support Aksys when they do something I think is good. That other Hakuouki game won't be gracing any of my shelves, but Bakudan is a genuine otome game. The company is probably still experimenting with what works and what doesn't, so I'll try to give them an accurate result.

Yeah, I was surprised to see Bakudan as well. I've never even noticed that game until now. It makes me wonder what they think the selling point is for all the overseas game players.
Idea Factory has been open to the idea of selling their games outside the country for a while now, so I would assume it is the easier to work with them than other companies. It would be wonderful if they sold enough games to grab the interest of the other otome game companies though (Quinrose, Honeybee, Rejet, Karin....).

From what I've read of the plot, the game seems a little ridiculous, but it might be fun. I'll try it unless the news coming out just turns me off completely.

I actually picked this up when I saw it come out and I'm enjoying it so far. I'm always happy when they bring over an otome game, and I haven't read up on the activity of Aksys so I don't know what kinds of plans they have next, but what I've played so far is that the main character's father opens up a theme park but it gets hijacked and your stuck with 6 other guys and in order to make it out alive you have to solve each section of the park while figuring out the connection between the hijacker and the other men who are stuck in the park. (You were stuck in the park by accident.)
