Otome Jikan posted an article with the translation for this along with some other information. It can be found here http://otome-jikan.net/2013/02/rejets-dot-kareshi-were-8bit-lovers/

I want to play this game so bad. It is the aftermath to all those RPG games I never finished, and will show me how I've warped all those guys that continued to wait for me to return, never knowing that I got caught up in something else.

Rejet must be full of a bunch of sick xxxxxxx... (That's why I like them XD)

Ah, Rejet seems to be on an announcement spree~

This seems cracky and retro and awesome though. (The

Must admit I really love the idea of an old 8-bit RPG ala otome. Gameplay is bound to be interesting... Unless they do a bait and switch like Beyond the Future again. Grr.

(Plus, the Maou's non-intro just cracked me up. XD)

Yep, they seem to have a handful of projects this year.

It's the cracky aspect that drew me in XD. This kind of otome game could probably only work once though. I think I would become bored if other companies started trying to copy it.

I'm curious about whether it will actually have rpg style game play, or if it will still be the visual novel style game play with the rpg theme.

The villager made me laugh. In so many rpg games, the villager is just copied multiple times, and used for every village. Now Rejet implies that it's just one villager stalking me all over the place! XD

Yes~! The yandere villager seems like a recipe for fun.

I rather liked the fireball happy mage as well. (Reminded me of Slayers~)

Really crossing my fingers for some rpg play on this one. I want to do random battles. The characters being like they are, it seems like their moves would be auto generated.... and waste hp/mp like crazy. (Choosing your party members seems like it would also be bound to be interesting. XD)

I didn't even make the Slayers connection to the mage, but now that's all I'll be able to think of XD.

Yeah, I'm up for some otome rpg game play too. This would be my first time using a battle system in an otome game. I'm guessing that because it's still for otome game fans that the game play would be easier than normal rpgs. I won't feel bad if it's not that easy though. Ah, you're probably right about the hp/mp getting wasted by the characters. Oh well, it wouldn't be the first time I've played a game like that.

Other than Crimson Empire, which had a long and hard battle system, the only other otome games I've played with a random battle system was stuff from the HaruToki franchise which was pretty fun as it let you up your romance stats via the battles. (And battling was basically just the RPG version of button mashing.) So I'd definitely be interested in seeing them do something like that...

...I agree that they ought to make it easier than the normal rpgs though. Ack, don't really want to have to level grind playing otome.

Who knows, maybe they'll set it up like Pokemon and you'll send specific characters out to battle? Potentially hilarious opportunities everywhere! XD
